Apps Growth Consultant

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., engineering, mathematics, economics, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a design, product management or operations role at a mobile apps company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Advanced degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a product management or business operations role at a mobile app developer.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools to deliver results.
  • Experience working with LLM tools, creating context documents, evaluating outputs.
  • Experience using SQL to retrieve data from large data warehouses, or excellent technical abilities and a desire to learn SQL.
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: product strategy and roadmap development; app monetization (subscriptions, in app purchases or ads), user engagement (onboarding, conversion strategies, churn reduction, etc.), CRM and lifecycle management.

The Global Business Consulting (GBC) team identifies growth opportunities in partners’ products, markets, and improvement opportunities in user experience and quality. Apps Growth Consulting as part of GBC focuses on consultations enabling developers to identify optimum strategies for facilitate agreements, user acquisition and engagement, app economies, subscriptions, and more.

Members of the Apps Growth Consulting team are equal parts consultants, analysts and product managers comfortable leveraging our domain expertise to transform data into information, narrate and present the insights to partners’ product, marketing, data teams and executives.

As an Apps Growth Consultant you will leverage your strong domain expertise in mobile apps development, analytics and operations to help partners to build and grow successful mobile businesses on Google Play. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional team members to elevate developer’s knowledge, thereby enabling product improvements which enhance value for users and drive sustainable business growth.

You will accomplish this goal by leveraging your expert knowledge in apps vertical and the wealth of Google’s data to identify meaningful growth opportunities and guide adoption of the optimum solution(s) which remedies the deficiency or capitalizes on the opportunity for the partners’ products. Additionally, you will impact the global apps ecosystem by abstracting solutions into reusable strategies and methodologies, leveraging these consulting resources and AI capabilities to enhance developer sophistication and ecosystem health.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the performance of partner’s apps to identify areas for optimization and growth.
  • Create and deliver insights  which communicate growth opportunities to Google Play and partner side product, analytics and executive leadership.
  • Provide thought leadership through the creation and delivery of original strategy consulting materials enabling optimal capitalization on growth opportunities.
  • Partner with developers during extended consulting engagements to assist with designing, executing, iterating and quantifying the impact of product improvements and collaborating with analysts and data engineers to scale consulting insights and materials, leveraging AI capabilities and internal platforms.
  • Consolidate category insights and trends into guidance materials that benefit the wider developer ecosystem.
