Research and Insights Associate, Android Ecosystem Strategy

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • 2 years of experience in an investigative role performing tasks such as data analytics and data modeling utilizing tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, spreadsheet).
  • Experience with project management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics).
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience manipulating, analyzing, and scaling data sets, data visualization, statistical analysis and database languages (e.g. SQL, R/Python, similar tools).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders to understand business goals and market environment to develop hypotheses, execute research or analyses, and inform product and business strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Generate forward-looking insights for assigned product areas by collating externally and internally available research, combined with analyses of relevant user/device behavioral data to synthesize into forecasts, opportunities for the product teams to invest in.
  • Define business performance metrics, track business performance, and competitive landscape to support creation of “State of the Union” insights to key Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) leaders on a periodic basis.
  • Develop compelling presentations for leadership on business challenges and opportunities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on assigned products, features, and associated strategies.
