Japan GTM Strategy and Planning Lead, Google Cloud (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, strategy and operations, management consulting, finance, or program management.
  • Experience with data modeling, scripting languages (SQL or equivalent) and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in program management in a hypergrowth environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, products and market landscape.
  • Ability to navigate a global, fast-growing, and dynamic environment with sound business judgment.
  • Strong track record of managing individual deliverables, with the organizational skills to support complex cross-functional project delivery.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, combined with business judgment and ability to influence business leadership.

The Google Cloud Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy and Planning team plays an important role in Google Cloud, acting as trusted advisors to the sales organization and strategy and operations counterparts to plan, strategize, and run the business in a transformational way to ensure its successful growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the Japan GTM strategy through key pillars across Annual Planning processes, including customer segmentation, territory design and quota cascade, ensuring alignment between Japan and global GTM strategy.
  • Execute on key operational processes related to the implementation of Japan’s GTM strategy through annual planning and in-year processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Japan Sales and Operations (S&O) team and sales leadership by structuring, analyzing, and communicating complex business challenges and delivering actionable insights directly influencing executive-level decision making on the prioritization of key growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional organizations within Google Cloud driving alignment on the execution and achievement of key business goals, continuously updating the overall strategy for Google Cloud in Japan.
  • Identify and implement best practices to standardize key planning processes and GTM workstreams across Regional and Global teams.
