Technical Program Manager, Data Center, Risk and Compliance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working directly in or with risk management, compliance, or audit functions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certification related to audit, risk, or compliance (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CIA, PMP).
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 2 years of experience managing or leading internal or external audit engagements.
  • Experience interpreting and adapting global policies to meet India's regulatory requirements e.g. MeitY, DPDP etc.
  • Experience with data centers or other industrial spaces.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the tactical and strategic evolution of the Data Center compliance program, transforming, enhancing, or deprecating processes to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Serve as the primary subject matter expert on DC policies and procedures.
  • Lead the execution of localized external audits. Synthesize control evidence, identify vulnerabilities, prepare site leads for external interviews, coordinate the regional assurance calendar and facilitate proactive testing.
  • Drive specialized risk and compliance programs dedicated to specific country-level mandates, ensuring precise local execution. Translate master global policies into steps, ensuring testing rubrics are physically executable for sites facing bespoke local mandates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to navigate ongoing regulations and provide perspective on compliance impacts.
