Our Product Security organization integrates data protection directly into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) through cross-functional partnerships, while our Cybersecurity organization defends Google’s global workforce and infrastructure against sophisticated threats at AI scale.

As the Product Operations Lead, you will sit at the intersection of these critical missions, translating complex strategy into operational excellence.

In this role, you will lead operations for the Cybersecurity and Data Protection team. You will establish the rhythm of the business, drive execution, and partner closely with the Product Management Organization’s Chief of Staff and Project Management Organization (PMO) leads. As a team-multiplier, you will design the reusable processes and infrastructure that enable our product teams to build fast and safely. You will collaborate cross-functionally to evolve our development lifecycle and align on shared goals across Google.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $218000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational leadership and strategic initiatives within the Cybersecurity team, managing special projects and triaging time-sensitive tasks under leadership direction.
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to connect product innovation with financial performance, establishing a mature framework to measure return-on-investment regarding team allocations and computing costs.
  • Develop tracking and reporting systems for organization Key Results and metrics, including product health, operational efficiency, development velocity, and progress against strategic security goals.
  • Implement and align the Product Development Lifecycle (PLC) with product managers and PMO teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality standard for planning and launches.
  • Establish cross-functional customer engagement models and data infrastructure to synthesize customer feedback, prioritize product roadmaps, and scale team enablement and onboarding programs.
