Senior Financial Analyst, Platforms and Devices Central Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL.
  • Ability to work in a changing, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple work assignments with a high level of accuracy and speed.
  • High level of integrity and a demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the maturity and professional presence to interact effectively with executive management.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will work across the Platforms and Devices (P&D) Product Areas (PA) portfolio of businesses, including Android, Chrome, Play, XR, and Made by Google devices. Your work enables Platforms and Devices Googlers to make radically better products to bring the best of Google to everyone.

You will play an integral role in Planning and Reporting for one of the biggest Product Areas at Google. You will be a key point of contact driving the P&D planning and long-range planning process — providing financial, operational, and enablement for product finance teams and Product Area (PA) leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to partner with a wide group of your peers and executive managers to guide them through the planning process, pulling together the entire Profit and Loss (P&L).

US: $141000 - $206000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial trends, identify performance drivers, and provide insights or recommendations to help leadership achieve business goals.
  • Develop effective financial reporting and presentations for executive finance and business leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and implement efficiencies by prioritizing AI adoption and seeking feedback from business partners.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships with business partners in order to effectively communicate across the organization.
  • Build and own multi-year financial models to support the long-range planning and investment decisions. Support P&D annual + long range financial planning, collaborating with business partners across multiple teams to influence plan over the short and long-term horizon.
