Staff Software Engineer, GCP CSM

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development and design.
  • 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with cloud compute platforms like Kubernetes, Cloud Functions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in network infrastructure and software-defined networking.
  • Domain expertise in distributed systems, computer architecture, networking, cloud infrastructure, and Google Cloud platform services.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with EMs, TLMs, Product Management, TPMs to drive long term technical direction.
  • Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Create consistent and reliable experiences across all GKE platforms (including on-prem, GDC, and multicloud) for customers, and to enable first party workloads.
  • Take on personal ownership and growth for a dynamic and growing product that is core to the future of service networking in Google cloud.
  • Build innovative systems and tools that make common operations (installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting) on customer's projects and clusters frictionless, resilient, and insightful.
