Technical Solutions Consultant Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • 2 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 10 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 10 years of experience in operations management (i.e. process improvement, operational reviews, optimizing workflows, etc).
  • 10 years of experience working with Unix or Linux operating systems/commands.

gTech’s Tools, Automation and Infra (TAI) team leverages deep user insights and generative AI technology to improve or automate Google's Ads customer support experiences. TAI team partners closely with gTech Ads Support teams, Product teams, and Engineering teams to simplify our Ads support products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users. We are leaders of the customer experience, advocating for big-picture goals, feature requests, and offering product improvements backed by data-driven insights. Our work enables gTech teams to deliver delightful support to our customers.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant Manager on the Tools Development and Automation team, you'll be responsible for leading a team of individuals managing solutions that make our broader gTech support and services organization more efficient. You'll help drive the development of tools and will be involved in ideating required product features and designing/implementing quick and scalable solutions. You will work with Google’s infrastructure to manage big problems over large datasets. You’ll be working as a part of an Engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs-of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of our services teams. You will adhere to Google’s software development best practices and work in close partnership with other Project/Product Management and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish technical road maps that accomplish our business objectives. 
  • Understand complex, ambiguous, open-ended business problems and produce an actionable, results-oriented strategy to solve those problems.
  • Build and action product architectures and solution roadmaps, including the design of infrastructure necessary to support the business objectives of our stakeholders.
  • Create launch programs with partners to ensure that new products and feature releases are tested before broad-scale deployment. Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Ensure that technical solutions are designed in a way that enable other Analytical teams to easily access data for operational reporting and data visualization. Collaborate with product engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
