Vendor Operations Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in operations or business management, and vendor management.
  • 5 years of experience using analytics or applying project management tools to address business issues.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Experience in applying project management tools and excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and investigative skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence people to contribute to continuous improvement of operations.

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's various product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with goals, and manage invoices. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendor engagements, and communicate operational/process updates to vendors. 
  • Drive large-scale complex projects spanning across multiple sites and suppliers. Manage the project execution, identify project stakeholders, and manage their expectations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, Center of Excellence (COE) team, Vendor Partners and other Business teams to review the volume changes, forecasting and capacity planning and help teams prepare accordingly.
  • Manage financials/metrics and workflow allocation for global projects on vendor operations cutting across multiple geographies, suppliers and platforms. Review vendor data, identify process improvement opportunities and drive improvement of vendor performance (e.g., Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)).
