Technical Program Manager Lead, Gemini Cloud Assist

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure, API design, system architecture, and software development lifecycles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with generative AI, including Agent Assist, evaluations, and AI agent frameworks.
  • Experience creating executive-level reports and presenting technical program status to leadership.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority to drive technical strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and manage change effectively.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Gemini Cloud Assist accelerates application design, simplifies DevOps operations, and offers Financial Operations (FinOps) insights to optimize costs.

As a Technical Program Manager Lead, you will drive the strategic execution of our next-generation agentic ecosystem. You will orchestrate complex, multi-organizational workstreams, leveraging deep technical judgment in agent frameworks, evaluations, and emerging AI standards to deliver enterprise-grade AI. Sit at the intersection of engineering and strategy, you will translate technical execution into executive insights, shape go-to-market strategies, and lead migrations to define the future of the autonomous cloud.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage core work streams across centrally and partner-developed agents, capability roadmaps, quality loops, and multi-surface entry points including support.
  • Guide technical standards across agent development, identity, emerging protocols (Skills, MCP, A2A), and seamless integration with Agent Cloud and Gemini Enterprise.
  • Lead cross-organizational contributions spanning agent frameworks, evaluation suites,  Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, and first-party/third-party (1P/3P) product entry points.
  • Distill complex execution into executive reporting, mitigating risks while shaping go-to-market strategies and managing architectural migrations and deprecations.
  • Execute the technical vision and roadmap for Cloud autonomous agents, aligning and adopting bleeding-edge infrastructure architectures.
