As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Sensors Engineering Program Manager in Technology Engineering, you’ll manage an innovative engineering team. You will work closely with hardware and software engineers, product managers, operations teams, and with suppliers to get high-quality products built, tested, and released on time. You’ll coordinate many fast-changing, moving parts and get them to come together as a module for integration. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, evaluating trade-offs for a variety of products across the entire Pixel hardware product portfolio.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $237000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the development of complex sensing solutions, navigating high levels of ambiguity from early concept through architecture definition. Partner with leadership to co-develop long-term sensing strategies and success metrics across the Pixel portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams to define, design, build, and validate sensing solutions on schedule, while meeting cost, features, and quality requirements.
  • Drive the pursuit, demo, and booking of new and innovative sensing technologies for future Pixel products.
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers in manufacturing environments on product development schedules, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Balance schedule, cost, performance, and user experience trade-offs.
