Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in selling analytics, data warehousing (DA), or data management software.
- Experience planning, pitching, and executing a territory sales strategy.
- Experience executing commercial and legal negotiations with procurement, legal, and business teams.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently in order to build relationships with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with and managing partners in complex implementation projects, including global system integrators and packaged software vendors.
- Experience with Google Cloud Data Analytics offerings (i.e., BigQuery, Looker, DataProc, PubSub, etc.).
- Experience and understanding of DA technology stack (e.g., Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, Hadoop/Spark Data lakes, Columnar Data Warehouses, Data Streaming, ETL, Data governance).
- Ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders as a business advisor and thought leader in Data Analytics.
- Excellent business judgment and analytics skills, using data to inform decisions and influence stakeholders.
About the job
In this role, you will help to grow the Data Analytics business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. You will work with customers to deliver true business value, demonstrate product functionality and provide an overview of business use cases. You will lead day-to-day relationships with cross-functional team members, serving as a lead within the sales organization. You will lead go-to-market strategies and sales operation, manage campaigns, and provide feedback to Product and Global Solutions Teams to inform the product solutions roadmap. You will build the customer's cloud and Data Analytics strategy and enable digital transformation.

- Calibrate the business against the goals, and forecast/report the state of the business for your territory.
- Build and maintain executive relationships with customers as the Data Analytics subject-matter expert and influence long-term strategic direction.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, including an enterprise plan across verticals.
- Assist customers in identifying use cases suitable for Google Cloud Data and Analytics solutions. Articulate solution differentiators and the measurable business impact.
- Work with Google Account and technical teams to develop and drive pipeline and provide expertise. Develop go-to-market efforts with Google Cloud Platform partners.
