Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management, management consulting, or a related operational role in a technology company.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with data governance, risk management, or compliance policy writing.
  • Experience managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and client executives.
  • Experience planning and executing strategies at both operational and executive levels.
  • Experience identifying process improvements and implementing automation solutions.

About the job

The Product Operations team sits within the Global Business Applied AI (GBAI) team and is responsible for leading sales tools strategy across business operations, governance, legal compliance, sales enablement, and measurement and analytics.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager on the GBAI Operations team, you will lead a team supporting assignments, channel management, data governance, and innovation programs. You will propose data-driven approaches to drive sales and operations excellence while focusing on process improvement and automation. Collaborating with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, risk, compliance, legal, and finance, you will influence executive decision-making to develop scalable, strategic solutions for Google's sellers.

The Global Business Organization (GBO) is the engine that powers Google’s full ecosystem of products and services to help customers and partners succeed and grow. GBO includes the commercial arms of Ads sellers, business development teams, and customer services and support, as well as overlay programs that enable coordinated engagement with Google's most complex and important customers and partners.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $186000 - $269000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Set the goal and strategy for the Program Management team within GBAI Operations to support assignments, channel management, and data governance.
  • Drive operational excellence by innovating, improving, and automating processes to advance the team's tooling and AI-native capabilities.
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships with go-to-market, product, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to drive product roadmaps and infrastructure improvements.
  • Draft and maintain detailed policy documents and data-sharing strategies to guide executive decision-making.
  • Manage and invest in the career development of team members by setting clear expectations and providing coaching and feedback.
