  • 2 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience in YouTube’s product and creator ecosystem, with experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to build global user experiences.
  • Experience in GenAI workflows and project management, maintaining an investigative mindset that balances big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in self-starting project execution and effective cross-functional leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work with flexibility in fast-paced, high-energy, and evolving environments.

About the job

The YouTube Business Product Activation Team is responsible for bringing product to market and market to product. The team works closely with both business and product leaders to scale adoption of YouTube products across the partner and creator ecosystem.

The core capabilities of the team include: designing go-to-market strategies, identifying and prioritizing product activation opportunities across the business, ensuring launch readiness, defining and driving execution on product activation across segments, understanding needs of partners and creators to provide Product teams with market feedback and prioritization to shape product roadmaps, developing content strategy, collecting and synthesizing user feedback, and tracking performance.

Within the Product Activation team you will manage the Shorts and GenAI Creation team who each individually manage the following scope: Shorts Discovery and Consumption, Shorts Creation and Effects, GenAI creation and cross-product area GenAI leadership. The team ensures YouTube’s long-term success, collaborates with product teams to advocate for and prioritize the needs of YouTube creators and partners on behalf of the YouTube Business org, and helps drive adoption of products and priorities across segments and verticals. You will interact with key stakeholders, senior executives and cross-functional leaders as you drive alignment on product strategy and execution.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $186000 - $270000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify, ensure readiness, and activate product priorities by collaborating closely with product teams to build and execute product roadmaps.
  • Synthesize and deliver market feedback systematically to product and collaborate with product partners to address issues and identify opportunities for users, creators, and partners.
  • Define Shorts business and GTM strategies, set OKRs, and develop content strategies.
  • Lead presentations for major updates or decision points and engage with key industry players/partners as a thought leader.
  • Lead a high-performing team of product activation managers.
