Strategic Insights Lead, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media (e.g., search, social, mobile, display, and video media).
  • 7 years of experience creating and presenting customer-facing materials (e.g., pitches, narratives, or one-sheets) for sales teams.
  • 7 years of experience in consumer and market insights, media measurement, and privacy landscape.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with executive stakeholders on developing and delivering impact through strategy and insight.
  • Strong cross-functional partner, with ability to lead groups toward a shared goal, and agility in working style to adapt to the needs of executive partners.
  • Ability to design and deploy agentic solutions for automated reporting and data delivery.
  • Dynamic presenter with the ability to test audiences with data-driven insights.
  • Expansive thinking to distill big-picture, macro perspective and synthesize micro-level details to drive excellence in insights generation and dissemination.
  • Curious mindset, with a willingness to innovate and test new technology aligned with AI advancements.

The Strategic Insights team is the driving team behind Google's industry-driving thought leadership. The team acts as close partners to Google Large Customer Sales (LCS) to create and deliver forward-looking sales and business storytelling, fostering strategic dialogue, inspiring innovation, and strengthening CXO executive partnerships.

This team translates Google product evolution into strategically compelling sales narratives, and identifies new revenue streams for our customers via consumer insights. It is the insights and storytelling center of excellence within ExecX, a trifecta of expertise in the global business organization. Along with scale and enablement, and leadership and innovation labs, the Strategic Insights team connects our most valued customers with the insights, solutions, and experiences they need to navigate the complexities of AI and the future of marketing.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $142000 - $207000 (USD) + 75% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of innovative strategic insights and narratives to resonate with C-suite audiences. Convert custom research into customer-facing sales positioning.
  • Drive agile delivery of insights for easy sales application, leveraging consumer insight to support business partners in identifying emerging revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Executives, Sales Leadership, and Product teams to understand strategic priorities, industry challenges, and trends. Translate this intelligence into high-value thought leadership.
  • Build and sustain partnership with global colleagues in similar insights roles around the world, to support consistency and sharing for our global customers.
  • Leverage AI technology to enhance thought leadership, accelerate strategic development, and empower sales partners to activate insights and narrative materials.
