About the job

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Cloud AI aims to enable the world's enterprises to undertake digital transformation through AI technologies and powerful solutions designed to create real business value.

As the Principal of Product Strategy and Operations (PS&O) for Cloud AI, you will lead the evolution from legacy cloud AI structures to Agentic ecosystems. You will be responsible for the Intelligent Data Platform roadmap, moving the organization from a reactive What data do we have? posture to a proactive, intent-driven What data do we need? architecture. This role is for a leader who can bridge the gap between high-level statistical modeling and global operational scale. You will sit at the intersection of generative AI development and commercial execution. You will act as a strategic partner to VP level leadership, translating complex AI infrastructure needs into actionable business roadmaps and GTM strategies.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Lead the transition from fragmented data silos to a unified data engineering platform.
  • Lead strategic analysis that informs Cloud’s AI strategy such as identifying impacts of accelerating growth through ISV and SI partners, analyzing opportunity size for products, or identifying of business acceleration through customer cohort analysis.
  • Work directly with VP leaders to support day-to-day decision making through timely analysis, excellent people management skills to drive alignment, and effective presentation skills.
