Google Cloud Dedicated Operations Product Management Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • Experience in product management, with cloud operations, infrastructure products, or technical tooling, and with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
  • Experience with operational tooling for cloud environments (e.g., monitoring, logging, automation tools).
  • Experience defining product outlook, strategy, and roadmaps from concept to launch.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of Product Managers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with products designed to meet strict security and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of data sovereignty, operational sovereignty, and the regulatory landscapes impacting cloud adoption in sensitive sectors (e.g., GDPR, SecNumCloud).
  • Ability to discuss technical details of cloud architecture, distributed systems, and operational frameworks with engineering teams and grasp complex technical challenges and translate them into product solutions.

Google Cloud Dedicated (GCD) delivers the sovereign cloud solutions for governments and regulated industries worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to lead the operational product strategy and readiness for GCD.

In this role, you will manage a team of three Product Managers (PMs), defining the direction for secure, compliant, and efficient cloud operations. You will foster operational excellence, ensuring local partners are fully enabled to operate GCD environments while maintaining stringent security and reliability standards.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor a team of PMs in evolving, and executing the product outlook, strategy, and roadmap for all aspects of GCD operations, orchestrate the PMs to deliver operational tooling, partner integration frameworks, support systems, and service management capabilities that meet the sovereignty and security requirements.
  • Lead the product readiness for GCD operations, collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Security, and local operating partners. Empower the PMs to define the product requirements, user journeys, and documentation to enable partners to securely operate GCD, and ensure new features and deployments are reliable.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across GCD. Lead the PMs to understand customer and partner operational needs, analyze service performance, and translate insights into product enhancements that improve efficiency, supportability, and customer satisfaction. Represent the operational product in leadership forums.
