Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a B2B sales or business development role.
  • 15 years of experience in sales and digital marketing, with leadership experience in the technology, internet, or media industries.
  • 5 years of people management experience and leading manager of managers with geographically distributed sales teams.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience fostering career growth for early-career sellers to senior sales professionals.
  • Proven Go-To-Market Sales leader with experience executing against goals across diverse account portfolios.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and craft compelling narratives to influence internal/external C-level technical and business stakeholders and across diverse teams at all levels.
  • Ability to take initiative, model ownership, identify trends, and show agility and action bias in a disruptive, fascinating ecosystem.
  • Ability to build and mobilize innovative business growth strategies with operational aptitude.
  • Recognized as an external thought leader in digital marketing solutions.

As Director, you will be a leader for a fast growing region of GCS, leading sales engagement with small and mid-market sales (MMS) customers in the SPLA markets. Be it a startup or a mature growth business, your team sets them up for long-term success by bringing the best digital ad solutions from Google. Your knowledge of the GCS business landscape and online media, combined with your sales and analytical abilities and your strategic AI literacy shapes how new and existing clients will grow.

In this role, you will lead a high growth fast paced business and a team of high-performing sales professionals. You will own the business generation quota for GCS SPLA and set the long-term strategy for the business in partnership with strategic operations. You will motivate your teams, drive accountability, cultivate AI fluency, and enable your team to succeed collectively.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy and set priorities across the SPLA Market to optimize for growth and ensure a positive experience of customers. Align strategic priorities with cross-functional teams (e.g., Revenue Strategy and Operations (RSO), Google Professional Services and Customer Support Teams (GTech), Marketing) to drive a shared outlook and goals.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a sales team. Foster career growth for everyone from early-career sellers to executive sales professionals, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and transparency.
  • Drive incremental year-over-year growth by delivering custom and scaled solutions that help partners acquire customers profitably.
  • Strengthen C-level relationships (e.g., CEO, CFO, CMO) as an executive spokesperson for MMS at key commerce industry events and drive thought leadership in the market.
