Viewer Growth Team Lead, Product Strategy and Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience providing data-driven decision support and advice to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with SQL and spreadsheet based analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in an analytically-intensive role, such as management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, data science, or corporate strategy and operations.
  • Experience working with consumer-facing software products, product teams, and engineering teams.
  • Experience in leveraging AI solutions for data analysis.
  • Experience with people management.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to create compelling narratives.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

US: $176000 - $256000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Work with the YouTube Viewer leadership team to identify and prioritize medium and longer term opportunities, Set Annual and Quarterly Goals (OKRs) and determine how we measure success.
  • Analyze, understand and communicate how YouTube is performing against our goals and identify emerging insights and trends with our leadership team.  
  • Run our weekly “health of the business” forum with our Product, Engineering, and Business leadership teams.
  • Partner with our Data Science team to prioritize and execute quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage the viewer growth product strategy and operations team and help with day-to-day direction, guidance and prioritization.
