Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with end-to-end partnerships with global scope, multiple stakeholders, and an advanced degree of complexity.
  • Experience with ongoing partner relationship management, and the ability to serve as an advocate for accounts internally and work collaboratively to identify opportunities or resolve issues.
  • Experience working autonomously with the ability to grow in a fast-moving, fluid and collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to clarify and summarize complex issues with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across all levels of management.

Our team provides meaningful solutions, from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through business generation solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search and Assistant, Geo, Platforms and Ecosystems, Devices and Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more.

The Business Development team in Global Partnerships works with external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships (e.g., data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing). Our team helps our partners grow though a variety of ways, such as: seeding content for Google surfaces, developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, and developing go-to-market strategies for new launches. We work cross-functionally with marketing, product and engineering, finance/retail marketing teams internally, and with our partners’ counterparts across disciplines.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will have an opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with our partners through negotiating and managing partnerships and integrations across Google’s products. You will serve as trusted advisors and consultants to our partners, using your strong relationship-building skills to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to represent our users, products and programs.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $140000 - $204000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with various entities, including startups, publishers, developers, and governments; cultivate strong external relationships across the ecosystem.
  • Initiate new agreements and renew/expand existing partnerships, driving exploratory talks and building consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Manage existing agreements to optimize partnership value, build effective long-term relationships, and identify and prioritize partner goals.
  • Engage cross-functional teams globally (e.g., Product, Operations, Marketing, Legal) to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets, surfaces, and verticals.
  • Design and implement scalable processes and policies to improve partnering; represent Google at partner events.
