Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience in android development.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role and 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Experience with coding in Java, Kotlin or other object oriented programming languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience with android OS development.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the architectural design and implementation of Gemini-backed features, ensuring high performance and low latency within the vehicle’s resource-constrained environment.
- Drive the development of next-generation reference applications and tools that enable first and third-party developers.
- Partner with product, UX, and car manufacturers to align the applications layer with deep vehicle integration and talent development, recruit, mentor, and retain a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of rapid experimentation, technical excellence, and "AI-first" thinking.
- Implement agile methodologies tailored for the automotive lifecycle, balancing the changing nature of Gen AI development with the safety and stability requirements of an OS.
- Serve as a technical spokesperson for the AAOS App ecosystem, advocating for the adoption of AI first approach across internal stakeholders and external partners.
