Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Google One and Google Photos Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience navigating complex commercial agreements and interpreting intricate legal documents, collaborating with Legal to finalize optimal terms.
  • Expertise in the SEA ecosystem, with understanding of the commercial business models driving Telcos, ISPs, Mobile OEMs, and top Retailers.
  • Ability to engage and influence C-level executives to forge the enduring strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to translate strategic thinking into growth through complex agreement structures.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Exceptional commercial excellence, with the ability to construct data-driven business cases that accelerate subscriptions adoption.

The APAC Platforms and Devices team forges new markets and shapes the core Google ecosystem. Within this space, premium AI and storage subscriptions are the critical levers for unlocking our next phase of user growth.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager on the Google One and Photos Partnerships team, you will own the commercial strategy for new products and initiatives vital to our success in Southeast Asia (SEA). You will spot emerging industry trends, evaluate complex partnership opportunities, and define our regional roadmap. Working lockstep with Product and global stakeholders, you will drive the high-stakes partnerships that evolve our business model and unlock massive subscription growth across the region. You are the architect of our premium subscription growth in Southeast Asia. You will leverage your market expertise and agreement-making prowess to turn strategic goals into tangible subscriber acquisition.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Business Development for Google One and Photos across SEA, defining the blueprint for our Telco, Retail, and emerging partner ecosystems.
  • Act as the lead for our most critical SEA partners. Own the full lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiating complex agreements to launching and scaling them.
  • Analyze the market to pilot and scale new SKUs, driving the next wave of AI and storage subscription growth.
  • Be the pivotal link between our external partners and Google’s Product, Technical, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution and optimized relationships.
  • Break down silos by collaborating with teams like Android and YouTube. Work alongside global stakeholders to design integrated, powerhouse proposals that win over SEA partners.
