About the job

The Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL) GTM team leads the early-stage rollout of our blockchain built for financial services. We aim to modernize global financial systems by providing a compliant, 24/7, programmable network that replaces inefficient legacy rails to boost capital efficiency, unlock faster cross-border payments, and power agentic finance workflows.

As a senior-level "playmaker," you will serve as the engine for GCUL adoption, identifying and supercharging opportunities within the financial services Industry. Operating under a specialist-led sales model, your bjective is to land initial transacting parties using three currencies to generate network density. You will translate your vision into "first-of-a-kind" agreements, leveraging "market makers" to pull financial ecosystems onto our platform. By providing a "credibly neutral" infrastructure, you will help institutions streamline multi-currency transfers without the compliance issues of public chains, establishing GCUL as the global standard for financial interoperability.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in financial infrastructure (payments, banking, capital markets) to guide infrastructure modernization and address friction points.
  • Engage and influence C-level stakeholders across treasury, CTO, strategy, and payments functions to secure complex organizational decisions.
  • Drive sales momentum from initial prospect interest to contract commitment, managing the full lifecycle from pilot to commercial rollout.
  • Lead and close large, complex, Google Cloud-led FSI accounts, establishing long-term digital transformation partnerships.
  • Build trust with executive teams at "market makers" and settlement banks to catalyze GCUL network adoption, collaborating with internal leadership to align deal structures.
