Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in sales, digital advertising, business development, or digital marketing, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with performance media, including measurement, attribution, optimization and new business line development with the knowledge of digital tactics, for search and performance tactics.
  • Experience in business development, customer relationships, and consultation within the media industry.
  • Experience managing a book of business, sales pipeline or collaborating with customer stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively on projects in a cross-functional team setting, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, presentation, investigative, and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey how growth hacking can deliver growth.

As an Auto Account Executive, you will act as a growth architect for some of the largest and most complex organizations in Canada. To win in today's highly contested and changing marketplace, you will operate with a fiercely customer-centric mindset. Your day-to-day goes far beyond traditional sales, you will leverage exclusive Google insights to anticipate C-suite decisions before they happen and give our partners a definitive engaged edge. By persistently exploring and uncovering our clients' most critical business needs, you will map out exactly how Google’s full ecosystem of product offerings can drive their profitable growth. Ultimately, you will move far beyond tactical media execution to set the overarching goals that transforms marketing into a definitive engine for profitable growth, ensuring our clients win the future of Canadian mobility.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 172,000-176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate with a relentlessly customer-centric mindset, working collaboratively across teams to drive our partners' profitable growth and secure Google media revenue.
  • Leverage data and industry insights to anticipate market shifts, proactively solve complex business challenges, and give our clients a definitive edge to win.
  • Build and nurture trusted, productive relationships at the C-level and across their entire marketing ecosystem (including key media and creative agencies), serving as a strategic consultant.
  • Design and execute highly tailored plans that align with customer business outcomes, expertly navigating the complexities of OEM, regional, and local dealer relationships.
  • Lead joint business planning, annual strategic alignment, and complex negotiations that cement Google’s role as the growth engine for their business. Manage a robust business pipeline, providing timely, accurate forecasts of sales performance and proactively identifying new opportunities for transformative growth.
