About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Global Infrastructure Group (GIG) is responsible for driving optimal fulfillment and transforming Google’s fleet by balancing and shaping demand intent from our product areas, deployment decisions for new technology, and supply capability across datacenters, networking, and machines.

GIG Order Management serves as a central funnel for demand ingestion and is tasked with improving product areas ordering experience, managing order dependencies, owning capitalization governance, and reducing planning interrupts.

As an Order Management Program Manager, your scope focuses on ensuring the timely processing of Order Management functions that support our internal customers and stakeholders. Amidst managing the day-to-day processes this entails, you will also contribute to multi-disciplinary projects to improve your space and support our rapidly-scaling and ever-changing business. To do this, you will identify opportunities, define requirements, manage project schedules, proactively identify risks, and routinely communicate and interact with stakeholders. Your daily work will span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute tasks to enable successful end-to-end ordering, planning, and optimization of the fleet's deployment actions, including troubleshooting issues, identifying risk areas, and driving resolution for successful outcomes.
  • Author stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences, program outcome in close collaboration with program stakeholders.
  • Serve as a team point of contact for status and processes as related to Order Management functions.
