Security and Compliance Specialist, Google Cloud Customer Engineering (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and cybersecurity in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations and live demonstrations for security solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical fields.
  • Experience addressing CIO and CISO concerns about security and compliance risks.
  • Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2/3 audit, FedRamp, PCI, HIPAA, and other security and compliance certifications.
  • Experience with network security technology (e.g. intrusion monitoring, threat detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and DDOS prevention solutions).
  • Technical sales or consulting experience in security, risk management, compliance and security controls at the systems, network and application level.
  • Understanding of identity management systems including directories, access servers, authorization services, identity provisioning and governance systems.

As a Sales Engineer for Security and Compliance, you will utilize both your technical aptitude and exemplary communication skills to address trust during frequent engagements with customers. You will periodically serve as a Google representative when liaising with regulators and the public as it relates to our Google Cloud solutions. In this role, you will work with technical Sales teams as a security and compliance subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Work with local Sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve blockers related to trust.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on areas of security, privacy and regulatory compliance to various teams.
  • Provide feedback to product management in the development of trust-related features and support regional security and compliance accreditation projects.
  • Develop programs to enhance knowledge of trust throughout the sales organization and serve as a public advocate of cloud computing at conferences, industry training and related events.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud and have effective presentation skills, with the ability to deliver a technical pitch.
