Senior Staff Product Data Scientist Manager, AI Subscriptions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 13 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 10 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • 5 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 15 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • 6 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.
  • Experience working in growth, subscriptions, or business growth.

About the job

In this role, you will drive critical insights that inform the long-term strategy, product roadmap, and business model for Google’s flagship consumer AI plus, pro and ultra subscriptions and our core Google One storage subscriptions.

Acting as a member of the Google One leadership team, you will directly inform our product and go-to-market approach for storage and AI subscriptions. You will be advocating product insights, delivering compelling presentations to executive and business audiences that transform complex technical ambiguity into clear, actionable business solutions. You will drive technical excellence across our Google One Data Science team, driving the team’s adoption of AI tools while maintaining a high bar of investigative excellence.

You will work closely with cross-functional and cross-Product Area teams and their leadership (across product, engineering, strategy, finance, partnerships, design/UX, operations, and marketing). You will posses excellent investigative skills, strong business acumen, and an ability to influence leadership and cross-functional peers using various forms of communication.Google One (G1) is Google's membership for personal cloud storage and Google's cutting-edge AI features. G1 is one of Google's fastest growing subscriptions, with over 150 million subscribers. US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Address ambiguous or new problems by using the capabilities of existing systems. 
  • Oversee the integration of cross-functional and cross-organizational project/process timelines, drive improvements and recommendations, and define operational goals and objectives.
  • Deliver complex analyses to drive high-stakes strategic business decisions, and empower organizational excellence by upleveling experimentation and analytical infrastructure to scale high-quality, data-driven decisions.
  • Advocate product insights by delivering compelling presentations to executive and business audiences to transform technical ambiguity into actionable business solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Data Scientists to lead complex projects.
