About the job

As a Senior Partner Operations Manager, you will act as a strategic leader and senior technical liaison for YouTube’s Subscription-supported video on demand (SVOD) platforms. You will architect and drive global programs to run service operations, with a focus on complex partner integrations, scalable video-on-demand delivery, and setting the standard for content quality. You will utilize your experience with video technology to navigate the video supply chain, leading technical engagements with YouTube’s most critical TV and media partners while transforming our internal operational workflows.

The role is fast-paced and will require you to seamlessly switch between high-level external partner management and deep internal operational problem-solving. You will serve as the strategic owner for the Watchability and scaled partner support frameworks, defining the global direction and resourcing strategy for our extended operations workforce. Concurrently, you will manage complex operational relationships with strategic partners, anticipating risks, influencing technical agreements, and architecting robust onboarding strategies.

In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, navigating ambiguity to define the operational direction. The most successful applicant will be a proven leader comfortable transforming the video supply chain by anticipating industry shifts, communicating effectively with both external executive partners and internal engineering teams, and driving the resolution of systemic issues to ensure a flawless, future-proof user experience.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and drive the strategy for the ingestion, processing, and delivery of video on demand (VOD) content for YouTube TV, Primetime Channels, and other video on demand products. Ensure scalable systems influence emerging technical standards.
  • Design and oversee scaled support models. Define the resourcing strategy, operational Service Level Agreement (SLA), and workflows for our global extended workforce (vendor) teams to ensure a seamless experience for SVOD partners and viewers.
  • Lead the evolution of content quality issue queues. Drive root-cause analysis for systemic partner and platform escalations and influence product and engineering road maps to eliminate recurring errors.
  • Lead the front-lines of technical and operational on-boarding for YouTube's most complex and strategic media partners. Represent YouTube's operational interests during partner negotiations, identifying risks and establishing sustainable technical requirements before agreements are finalized.
