Cloud Support Director, Platform Security

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in threat detection, trust and safety or cyber security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to build, tune, and scale automated abuse detection and enforcement systems.
  • Experience managing complex escalations and restoring customer faith.
  • Experience guiding customers through post-compromise recovery & remediation.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a technical support or security organization, preferably in Cloud products or related technologies.
  • Experience with capacity planning, resource management, and process optimization.
  • Deep technical expertise in Cloud products, related workflows and the technology stack with ability to design and implement cloud architectures and solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements.

About the job

We are seeking a highly strategic and customer-centric Director to lead our Platform Security group. In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading high-performing teams, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences for our Cloud products.

The role demands not just operational oversight but the development and execution of a comprehensive support strategy aligned with Cloud Support’s long-term vision, directly impacting product adoption and commercial success. The incumbent is expected to act as a thought leader and converter externally, influence engineering leadership on portfolio health, and lead innovation to improve support processes. These responsibilities, combined with the mandate to proactively expand the scope of support operations and manage a team through hyper-growth in a cost efficient way, necessitates a leader with the proven strategic foresight, cross-functional leadership impact, and organizational scaling capabilities.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $276000 - $384000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with Cloud’s long-term vision and business objectives. Set objectives, prioritize initiatives, and drive results to ensure optimal product adoption and commercial success.
  • Define and lead an unified security operations strategy across cross-functional teams.
  • Advise leadership on security risks, threat landscape, and operational health. Promote automation, scalability, and reliability across security operations.
  • Provide executive visibility into security posture, investments, and key risks. Translate threat intelligence into business-relevant insights.
  • Guide the team in developing and maintaining deep product knowledge. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to the team and cross-functional partners.
