Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Knowledge and Information (English, Korean)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks and projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a related technical/business field.
  • Deep expertise in the geospatial, mobility, mapping, or local software/media technology, data ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of operating, influencing, and leading initiatives from scratch within a large, multi-national matrixed organization simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in structuring high-stakes, first-of-a-kind commercial agreements or regulatory-adjacent technology partnerships.
  • Advanced analytical capability to derive clear partner strategies from macro industry trends, problem-solving, and strategic acumen, with comfort navigating ambiguity and rapidly changing market conditions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills with the ability to articulate contractual, technical, and strategic value trade-offs to executives.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a part of the Google’s Global Product Partnerships team, you will create long-term value and powers Google’s transformative products by building strategic partner ecosystems that enable core products to thrive globally.

As a part of this monumental, historical turning point in South Korea, we are officially launching full-functioning Google Maps capabilities. To capture this unprecedented momentum and support this landmark shift, we are building a team to expand existing journeys and set a new standard for localized, high-impact opportunities, seeking a visionary, highly collaborative, creative, and proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited to shape the future of Geo in Korea.

In this role, you will work at the strategic intersection of business, product, and technology, operate as a vital bridge between Google’s global product leadership and South Korea’s key industry players. You will be responsible for evaluating market opportunities, leading partner negotiations, driving thought leadership, and steering complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Legal, Operations, Marketing, PR, Policy, and Government Affairs.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Structure, negotiate, and execute first-of-a-kind partnerships and go-to-market (GTM) opportunities with C-level executives, overseeing agreements throughout their life-cycle.
  • Act as an industry advocate for Google Maps in Korea, building trusted C-suite relationships across private industry, public entities, and technology partners to maximize Geo ecosystem value.
  • Drive Geo product strategy by synthesizing partner feedback, competitive dynamics, and local insights into actionable recommendations for global leadership.
  • Lead internal teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, GAPP, Communications, Marketing) to formulate partnership strategies and deliver briefings to senior leaders.
  • Navigate ambiguous business and regulatory environments, resolving complex integration issues and executive escalations with strategic agility.
