Performance Specialist, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
  • Experience in sales and digital media.
  • Experience in performance advertising with Google Ads (Search campaign, Performance max campaign, shopping campaign).
  • Ability to communicate in English, Mandarin and Cantonese fluently in order to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of e-commerce industry trends and the capacity to align Google’s innovative solutions with marketplace and direct-to-consumer business models.
  • Deep expertise in the digital media ecosystem of Hong Kong and the Chinese export retail sector.
  • Proven track record of building executive-level partnerships and utilizing consultative sales techniques to influence key business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in evaluating intricate performance metrics using advertising and measurement platforms like Google Ads or Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset with a proactive approach to delivering impactful results and creative problem-solving.

About the job

As a Performance Specialist within our Large Customer Sales team, you will support and drive customer advertising and digital transformation on Google Ads (including Shopping, Performance Max, and other related media campaigns), with a core focus on Hong Kong clients and China retail accounts. In this role, you will act as an expert in retail solutions—specifically Google Ads performance solutions (Performance Max and Shopping campaigns)—to help grow business from key accounts. You will provide actionable recommendations to clients and the sales team, serve as a dedicated solutions expert for Shopping and Performance Max, and be recognized as a trusted retail professional for CxOs.

As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Google Performance Ads business (including Shopping and Performance Max campaigns) for Hong Kong clients and China retail accounts. 
  • Build strong relationships with the sales team and executive leadership to drive the Google Performance business strategy across the country and region.
  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market (GTM), Product, and gTech teams to launch Shopping/Performance Max products and features within the broader e-commerce landscape.
  • Identify product gaps and build robust business cases based on advertiser needs. Synthesize multiple viewpoints and communicate the client perspective regarding product features and solutions necessary to drive long-term success for our Large Customer Sales (LCS) advertisers.
