Senior Regulatory Counsel, Legislative Oversight

In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based employees. Benefits for this role include:

Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • 10 years of experience in legal, regulatory, or legislative matters, including addressing, minimizing, or avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 15 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • Experience engaging with legislative bodies, including congressional and parliamentary committees and policymakers across the globe.
  • Experience working with executive leadership to prepare for high-profile engagements. Experience with managing projects and partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex and novel technical issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and act with the highest standards of integrity and collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal communication, time management, and investigative skills. Superb writing skills are required.

About the job

As a Senior Regulatory Counsel, Legislative Oversight, you will join a US-based team that leads the strategy for responding to inquiries and investigations originating from legislative bodies across the globe, including congressional and parliamentary committees. You will be involved in managing transparent and thoughtful engagements, partnering with teams across the company to help ensure accurate responses, and preparing executives to testify in multiple markets.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $252000 - $352000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
US: $275000 - $383000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead response to legislative inquiries and investigations.
  • Direct legislative testimony prep and strategy.
  • Oversee the drafting of written responses and the collection and production of accurate information for external submissions and disclosures.
